As we approach the Season of Creation 2026, the Episcopal Conference of the Pacific (CEPAC) invites all dioceses across our region to unite in prayer, reflection, and action for our common home.
Following the recent pastoral letter from Archbishop Ryan Jimenez, President of CEPAC, all faithful, parishes, and communities are invited to participate fully in this year’s observance.

The Season of Creation will be observed worldwide from 1 September to 4 October 2026.

Mass for the Care of Creation
The liturgy to be celebrated on the opening and closing days is the newly promulgated Mass for the Care of Creation, approved by Pope Leo XIV. The following texts are available:

Via Creationis – “The Way of Creation” (Chemin de Création): Developed by the Laudato Si’ Movement, this devotion is designed to be prayed once each week during the Season of Creation, similar to the Via Crucis (Stations of the Cross) during Lent. Dioceses are encouraged to freely adapt Via Creationis to suit local pastoral traditions and needs.

A Message from Archbishop Ryan Jimenez
In his pastoral letter, CEPAC President Archbishop Ryan Jimenez highlighted the vital role of local communities in this season:
“I kindly request you brothers to review these materials and to share them with your clergy, religious, liturgy coordinators, Catholic schools, and parish and diocesan communities, so that they may be used in the spiritual and pastoral preparation for this year’s observance.”
