Following a landmark decision at last year’s Plenary Assembly, the Episcopal Conference of the Pacific (CEPAC) is officially preparing for the region-wide observance of the Season of Creation, running from September 1 to October 4, 2026.
The initiative marks a unified, ecological-spiritual milestone for the Pacific, culminating on the newly approved Feast of Creation on October 4.
A Unified Journey for Our Common Home
The observance will formally commence with an Opening Mass on September 1 and draw to a close with a Closing Mass on October 4, celebrating the Feast of Creation.
In a letter addressed to the bishops of the region, CEPAC President Archbishop Ryan P. Jimenez emphasized the vital importance of this period for the Pacific community.

Spiritual Resources for Dioceses and Parishes
To support communities in their spiritual and pastoral preparation, CEPAC has made dedicated resources available. Fr. Ben McKenna, in collaboration with the Laudato Si’ Team, has prepared a specialized booklet containing weekly reflections and meditations designed specifically for use throughout the month-long observance.

Call to Action for Pacific Leaders
Archbishop Jimenez has requested that all bishops review these materials and distribute them widely across their local networks. The resources are intended for:
