Suva, Fiji – March 2026 – The Senate of the Pacific Regional Seminary (PRS) and the Permanent Council of the Conference of the Episcopal Conferences of the Pacific (CEPAC) met in Suva to strengthen priestly formation and collaboration across the Pacific.
The meetings were guided by prayer and reflection, affirming the shared mission of the Church to form well-prepared, spiritually grounded priests. Members reviewed the seminary’s academic and formation programmes, celebrated recent improvements in student life and infrastructure, and acknowledged the dedication of seminary staff.
The PRS Review Team Report was received with appreciation. Recommendations on governance, student well-being, and academic development will guide the seminary’s strategic planning and future growth.
Members emphasized the importance of holistic formation, staff development, and strengthening diocesan support. Plans were made for continued collaboration, including a joint meeting in September 2026 and preparation for the CEPAC Plenary Assembly in Papeete, 2027.
The gatherings concluded with gratitude for benefactors, staff, and diocesan support, and a renewed commitment to the mission of forming priests to serve communities throughout the Pacific.
