The Archdiocese of Agaña and the Episcopal Conference of the Pacific (CEPAC) received official notification today from Most Rev. Anthony Randazzo, DD JCL that he has relinquished his position as President of the Federation of Catholic Bishops’ Conferences of Oceania (FCBCO).

Most Rev. Ryan P. Jimenez, DD was the Vice-President of FCBCO and now automatically becomes the President.  “In accordance with the FCBCO Statutes, the Vice-President will now assume the office of President for the remainder of my term, concluding at the 2028 FCBCO Plenary,” Archbishop Randazzo said in his letter today.

Pope Leo XIV appointed Archbishop Randazzo as Prefect of the Dicastery for Legislative Texts last March. “Following my recent appointment to the Dicastery for Legislative Texts, I have found it necessary to relinquish a number of the responsibilities and offices that I have until now held,” Archbishop Randazzo explained.  “Among these is the office of President of the FCBCO.”

Archbishop Randazzo thanked his brother bishops for their encouragement, support, and fraternity throughout his time in office and assured them of his continued prayers.

Archbishop Ryan is also the President CEPAC. He expresses his gratitude to Archbishop Randazzo on behalf of CEPAC as well as the entire Archdiocese of Agaña. The Archdiocese of Agaña will host the Executive Committee Meeting of the Federation of Catholic Bishops’ Conferences of Oceania from May 18–20, 2026.
