On July 7, 2023, the Synod Secretariat announced the additional non-bishop members of the XVI Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops, often known as the Synod of Synodality. Ten people from Oceania were named among the Synod’s members, along with five people who will serve as experts and/or facilitators during the two sessions in October 2023 and October 2024.
